Finders Keepers by K. T. Finch

My review

A big bag of money + a dead girl + a man in debt = moral dilemma

This is the cornerstone of this book, Noah finds a big bag loaded with money, in the car of a dead girl, takes the money, does not report to the police and the story continues with Noah in the centre of the storm…

K. T. Finch‘s story deals with the moral dilemma of will we, won’t we, in the face of personal problems and huge debts. All the characters are coated with dark shades of black. There is selfishness, jealousy, greed, each one is manipulative in one way or the other.

The book deals with a lot of moral issues, the characters are realistic as most are in real life. The book is a thriller with questions where Noah’s perversions put me off. A bit of a slow start but had enough twists to keep me reading.

I received an ARC from NetGalley and publisher Bookouture, and this is my honest and unbiased opinion.

My rating : 3 stars

Book blurb

Noah Kendall loves his family, but hates his teaching job. Mortgage, bills and mouths to be fed: he’s stuck in a rut. And with more debts piling up each day, he knows that something has to change.

As he opens yet another red letter, he has to get out and clear his head, despite the heavy Alaskan snow outside. His legs ache as he runs deeper into the forest, until he notices something in the distance – a crashed car, sitting dead still. Inside, a girl sits slumped in the driver’s seat, eyes closed, mouth open, skin grey beneath the winter frost.

And then beside her he sees it: a bag of money. And lots of it. Enough to pay off his debt and start a whole new life. And it’s just sitting there, waiting for him to take it…

  1. Who knew that those things would cause a moral dilemma!? Actually… even taking the debt out of the equation, if a man (or person) stumbles on a dead girl and a bag of money, well, she doesn’t need that money anymore now DOES SHE??
This is no “lady garden” but sounds fairly interesting! ;p

    1. Hahaha this is the dead garden. Spoken like a true DEVILESS. Money comes with its own evils. Sheesh whom am I trying to convince, evil herself. Cool, you are probably the only one who can. We inane humans can’t 😉😉😂😂

      1. All were there!! How silly! And one from Carrie too… will have to go check it out now.
Plus there were three “really helpful” comments on how my blog was:
        1. Pretty but not enough info about me
        2. Could do with some more spacing in the text as I don’t have enough pictures.
        3. I should write more so people could get to know me better..

Really??? This is from random posters not followers. Guess they want some form of compensation for their “great” advice?! Lol

    1. Yes, sometimes when I am on the go, I write short reviews. I was stuck in traffic when I wrote this… Hehehe… And nowadays most don’t have time to read long reviews so I am thinking of keeping it short and sweet.

      2. Huhhh…. Vijay, nothing to worry about them. Just ask simple questions. Or start liking their posts. Even I am scared of them some of them got so angry with me, no idea why, when I sent invitation. But people in the group are nice. Rudeness is not allowed, they have to be kind, one of the rules of the group. Besides I am always there, so don’t worry. Join in

      1. I read a review that said something like it felt it was written by a 14 yr old boy but other’s seemed to be more positive so I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read it or not and since i’m trying to “behave” I passed it by.
