Book Review – You Are Mine by Miranda Rijks @MirandaRijks @damppebbles #BookReview #BlogTour #suspense
Many thanks to Emma and Damp Pebbles Blog Tours for my spot on this Blog Tour.
This was one of the most scariest books I have ever read on a man’s obsession for a woman.
Rupert saw Charlotte. Rupert wanted Charlotte. At any cost.
My third book by author Miranda Rijks, I gave to say this author is pretty scary in the way her mind could think up the dark scenes and write them. The book extremely easy to read, I could finish it in a couple of hours. The horror in the scenes kept rising as I turned the pages, and I couldn’t yet stop reading. I blame the author for putting me in a trance.
The story may seem to be known, but the feeling of helplessness, impending danger, and need to escape were real. I was quite amazed that the author evoked those emotions from me in a few short lines. The words strung together had the power to make me feel so much. I desperately wanted Charlotte to run, run far away.
Oh my the horrors in the book would remain with me for a long time. Fast paced, short chapters, and a need to escape made this book a fantastic breakfast read. I think I needed to know if Rupert got his just, just to escape him. Hence the pages turned faster.
Whew!! What a book!!
I received a free ARC from NetGalley and publisher, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

Rupert has spent years searching for his perfect wife. Now he’s found her.
Her name is Charlotte Aldridge and she’s wonderful. A talented artist, modest and beautiful, she’s everything he ever dreamed of. Her hair, her eyes, her mouth – every little detail is perfect.
Rupert is confident that when they meet, she’ll fall in love with him just as he has with her. After all, he’s a wealthy British aristocrat. And he’s handsome – the relentless gym workouts and extensive plastic surgery have seen to that.
But what if Charlotte can’t see that they fit perfectly, that they’re meant for each other? Well, Rupert can be very persuasive. His father taught him certain methods which are extremely effective. Methods that can turn the most determined, ‘I don’t’ into a meek and submissive, ‘I do’….
