Book Review – Winter Dark by Alex Callister @CallisterAuthor @bookouture #BookReview #BooksOnTour #thriller

Many thanks to publisher Bookouture for my spot on this Blog Tour.

Woah!! A female agent who has a photographic memory – that’s me in my fantasies. Well, what can I say… I look good in my dreams.

Winter, a Secret Service agent has 2 weeks to get to the criminal Konstantin. A game of cat and mouse ensued.

My first book by Alex Callister, this was the kinda book which I would have liked to watch as a movie. The book is fast paced, I didn’t get a chance to breathe even for a single moment.

Winter as the agent thrilled me, enamored me. She hexed me with her fights, her need to justice. The lovemaking was also fast and raw. There was something haunting about her that caught my attention and kept it there. She ruled the book

Konstantin too had his own charm, he was charismatic and quite seductive in his ways. I liked the villain that he was. He knew what he wanted and went for it. The author’s writing balanced them both making this book a constant to and fro. She wouldn’t exist if he didn’t.

The book had everything I expected from an action thriller. It had a strong kick-ass heroine, action sequences that thrilled, set across the world. The team worked with her adding to the spice. There was an aura of race against time. Winter as the Assassin Snow White had me smiling in glee as the pages showed me her clean moves. I told ya, I like me in my dreams.

Overall, a fun action thriller.

I received a free ARC from NetGalley and publisher, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

All my reviews can be read here

A girl with wide brown eyes looks into the camera. Below her picture, a clock ticks down. Cold traces the back of my neck, pricks my hairline. I will find you, I whisper.

It has been ten years since Winter – a headstrong loner with a broken past – was pulled off a mountain by special forces with the aim of turning her into the Secret Service’s most effective field agent. Now, she has just two weeks to bring down the head of a formidable criminal organisation, Alek Konstantin, before an innocent girl is murdered by a twisted killer in front of an online audience of millions.

Going deep undercover disguised as a paid assassin – alias Snow White – Winter’s aim is to infiltrate Konstantin’s inner circle. Calculating, charismatic and totally in control, he holds the girl’s fate in his hands. But every time Winter gets close to him, he melts away. He’s like a shadow, and yet he knows things about Winter – dark secrets she’s never told anyone. Who is he, and how can she reach him in time to save the girl?

Then Winter finds the body of a man from her past, stuffed in a dumpster with a bullet through his forehead, and things begin to fall into place. But with the girl’s death growing closer with every tick of the clock, and Winter’s protective shell starting to crack, does she have what it takes to bring down Konstantin before the clock hits zero?

  1. I always loved swords. Something about the katanas makes my heart go yayy… I imagine myself in leathers, sword katanas and guns. I like those star shaped whizzing thingy like a smaller Sudarshan Chakra… 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 🙈🙈🙈
Gawd, now I have to ask you – what do you think of my look
