A cute story of George the fern whose journey was encapsulated in this 32 page book, packed with oodles of emotions to the point that my heart felt it would burst.

My first book by the talented author Jeremy Ray, I was quite taken aback when I found a lump in my throat as George described his love for the human woman, which grew progressively down the pages.

Love in the purest form was described as George opened up and understood the different nature of humans. As life went by, tragedy struck, and George tried to help, then was hit by his own grief. I loved how the book showed how plants reacted to the aura around them.

Slowly and surely, the turning point came about, and hope filtered through as human and plant healed and found their love for each other. The author was right, I would never look at a plant in the same way.

I have a black thumb, but maybe it was not the thumb but the lack of knowledge in taking care of them. A great debut. Loved it.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

George, a fern, doesn’t appreciate being bought by Brenda at Garden Palace.

And he certainly doesn’t appreciate being trapped in her house of humans. He yearns to be with the plants outside in the garden. With time, George learns to trust Brenda and think of her as his human. Then one day, tragedy strikes and George’s life will never be the same. What happens when a houseplant loses the thing he never knew he wanted?

You’ll never look at houseplants the same way again.

Publication Date: December 2020

I downloaded the digital version of the book from an online retail, and this is my journey down its pages, straight from the heart. STRICTLY HONEST and UNBIASED.
