Book Review - The Other Mrs. Miller by Allison Dickson #BookReview #BookBlogger #suspense
I was quite flabbergasted when I read the story. It was a fantastical read, where I knew such a thing wouldn’t happen in reality. I had to pinch myself to see if I was dreaming. What was I reading?
2 Mrs. Miller + 1 Mr. Miller + weird neighbors + an clandestine affair = A RIDE IN THE WILD SIDE where the only rules are the ones made by the character and even the coos have to agree to it.
My first book by Allison Dickson, this was a twisted plot coursing on the unbelievable side. I had fun because by the time I had got to know both the Mrs. Miller, I had already left reality far, far behind. The story had a past and a present which joined together in a warped way to lead to the future. Were the characters at least likable, you ask? I would say you’ve got to be joking.
There are times when being in the shock helps. The plot lines were so twisted that I couldn’t even begin to imagine how their minds would think. Each one had a reason for murder and destruction. The reasons were probably quite logical in their minds… Who am I to refute?
The few things that fascinated me was that in one scene there was a gun, knife and a stun gun all waiting to be used…. My niggles… Ah well… Suspend all logical thinking while reading this book.
I had equipped my brain with this fact and had a good time over this book. I swear I read with eyes that widened in utter shock!!
I received a free ARC from Edelweiss and publisher, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

Two women are watching each other.
Phoebe isn’t sure when the car started showing up. At first she put it down to the scandal around her late father, but she’s certain now it’s there for her. What’s interesting about an unhappily married housewife, who barely leaves her house?
Only one knows why.
Every morning, not long before your husband leaves for work, I wait for the blinds beside your front door to twitch. You might think I’m sitting out here waiting to break into your house and add a piece of your life to my collection. Things aren’t quite that simple. It’s not a piece of your life I want.
When a new family move in across the street, it provides Phoebe with a distraction. But with her head turned she’s no longer focused on the woman in the car. And Phoebe really should be, because she’s just waiting for an opportunity to upend Phoebe’s life…

Sometimes there is just too much unbelievability. I think authors are so trying to out thrill each other that they don’t see how implausible their story is. Wonderful review, Shalini!

With all those weapons - they were more than ready - sounds like someone was in the scouts as scouts are always prepared 😉
