Musings - Ode to my Friend James J. Cudney
What do I tell you about Jay that I haven’t already said oh so many times on my blog. I wear my heart on my sleeve for him.
He was my first friend in this blogging world. The rest all disappeared, but he stayed behind, seeing something in me which others did not. He helped me grow as a person.
He is kind, with a deep generosity of the spirit, who can see the good things about people. So opposite to me. 🙄His diplomacy is out of this world. Over the years, I have learned to be a better me, thanks to him. But I am still in the learning curve. A work in progress, and he has a long way to go with me. Poor him!! 😂😂
When I was told to write a guest post on his blog, I was stumped. Believe me, I was the last person to volunteer. Not because I didn’t want to, but I didn’t feel I could write something worthy of his blog. (I did write something, and he has approved of it. Whew!!🤨)
This man here is the most hardworking of us all, the sheer number of hours he puts in, has me gasping. His analytical brain and intelligence brings out my respect every time I talk to him.
As an author, he has a deep understanding. He knows what his characters want and understands them, but if you want to really know what they think, hop on to his blog here and you will know the TRUTH. Go on, click the link. You might just like my guest post. Let me know 😉

I have beta-read all his Braxton Campus series, and I have to commend his sensitivity and perception. He gives me the space and comfort to be frank with him. Hurting him would be like hurting my own heart. He knows that. He reads what I tell him directly and those which I am unable to put into words.
I have pushed him, prodded him, made him go beyond. I believe there is a hidden wealth in him as an author, some of which has already seeped into his books, some which needs to come out. Watch out, check out his blog here to see a glimpse of it!!
He is brilliant beyond belief, no doubt, as an author but so much more as a person. A man who can talk nineteen to a dozen, but when it comes to his feelings, he is shy and private. So when such a man opens up and writes his heart out, I can’t help but read them with tears falling. Each word is precious, worth their weight in gold, especially when I know he means it. He may not say much, but each of those lines is etched in my heart forever.
From my heart to yours
Always and forever
Thank you for everything…
There is a Blog Tour for his Braxton Campus series in December. Comment to join in any date between 1st - 24th.

Shalini,
I have no words. All I can say is I’m stunned by the beauty in this post… but I will also say that I will be back to respond properly this weekend. I am in a car at the moment and can’t truly express my gratitude until I’m home at my laptop.
xoxo
