Book Review – Poppy by Kat Flannery @katflannery1 #BookReview #BookBlogger #Histfic

Many thanks to Laura and iReads Book Tours for my spot on this Blog Tour.

The most ornery of all sisters, Poppy’s answers to all her questions were her guns. A bounty hunter by profession, she killed the gangs of outlaws till the odds caught up with her, and she was shot. Rode to her rescue was Noah, a Pinkerton who had been following her for some time.

My second book by author Kat Flannery, saw me reading this in less than an hour. Poppy was loud and brash, and it took Noah all his patience to get to know her. She was prickly for sure. I liked the chemistry that bounced off them, though I liked Noah more. I had to admire his fortitude, she did poison him, you know.

The story had its subplots with Poppy hiding a secret which was the key to the story, and Noah was determined to get it off her. The robbers, outlaws, and a hired gunslinger gave this story an atmosphere of the Wild wild West. Love and romance happened fast, the guns were pulled faster, and high body count made this a fast read. Overall, a fast read. I bet I read it faster than Poppy pulled the gun!

I received a free ARC from Laura and author Kat, and this is my journey into its pages, straight from the heart!! STRICTLY HONEST AND UNBIASED.

Poppy Montgomery has always been good with a gun and could fight her way out of anything. Tough as nails and a sharp shooter, her beauty deceives the outlaws she’s after.

Hot on the trail of the Clemmons gang, a group of outlaws who rob trains and killed an innocent woman and child a few months before, she is determined to make them pay for the sin’s they’ve committed by bringing them to justice.

Pinkerton, Noah Shaw is investigating a ring of stage robberies and knows the Clemmons gang is behind them. Told to track down the infamous redheaded bounty hunter, Noah gets more than he bargained for when he arrests Poppy for assault.

Handcuffed together the pair must work together to stop the robberies, and figure out who is behind them. But what happens when love interferes and thrusts Poppy into discovering emotions she never knew existed? Will she choose the solitude she’s always known, or Noah’s sweet embrace?
