Day 2: Quote 2

Reasons for liking this quote

I read this quote in a book, and it has stayed with me since. It serves me as a reminder that every day is an opportunity to live, and live well. Memories are meant to be visited, not stayed in. But life is meant to be lived, not looked over

My nominees

Just a few lines, it’s written in both English and later in words of Hindi spelled in English.

“Disappointed with the problems, tired of the struggles, I asked Life — tell me, O life, where are you going, where is your pathway?

She smiled, caressed my cheek, and said—O child of mine, I am just here, you are the one meant to find your path and live each moment….”

In Hindi

Hatash ho, nirash ho, maine zindagi se poocha — ae zindagi, bata mujhe, kahan hai rasta tera?

Zindagi muskura kar boli —main toh sirf hoon, rasta tujhe banana hai, har pal tujhe jeena hai…

  1. I love this quote, and I agree – we do need to take every day as an opportunity to live and live it well. I try to remember to do this as often as I can. Thank you for sharing and can’t wait for your third quote!
